Sudden betrayal and tragedy strike. What will become of the daughter who awaits her mother's return? Fujimura Natsumi lives with her stepfather, Seiichi, who is not her biological father. After losing her job when her mother was imprisoned, she supports the family with part-time work, but her stepfather is an alcoholic and spends all of Natsumi's earnings. One day, a debt collector arrives at the house to collect on her stepfather's debt. It turns out that her stepfather has been working at an illegal casino, secretly hiding it from Natsumi, and embezzling the establishment's money. To "settle" the debt, her stepfather tries to sell Natsumi off.
