A few weeks have passed since Hiroshi's long-awaited first child was born. One day, Hiroshi and his wife Junko come to Kaoru's house with their first grandchild, Takuya. "This is what they mean when they say it's a pain to put in your eyes," Kaoru says, her eyes constantly drooping as she watches Takuya's every move. However, the next day, Takuya is taken by Junko to visit her parents' house. Hiroshi is left alone at the Namiki household for work, and perhaps due to the abstinence he had been leading during his pregnancy, or perhaps the pressure of becoming a father, he begins to cling to Kaoru.
