Her husband doesn't come home until late at night, and her marriage is cold... Aiming to support herself, Shiori starts attending night school to obtain a qualification. However, even though it's a night school, her classmates are all young, and she struggles to adjust to school life after decades. One day, on the train home from school, Shiori bumps into Hajime, a classmate, and decides to walk part of the way home with him. Hajime is older than the other students and has struggled to fit in at school, so Shiori feels a sense of familiarity with him.
