Maki, a married woman who works as a psychological counselor and supports patients, is visited by a man named Ichikawa. He has not been able to recover from the loss of his beloved dog, whom he had shared with for many years. Maki tries to counsel Ichikawa and care for him, but Ichikawa, unable to accept reality, begins to say that Maki and the man next door had conspired to put poison in the dog's food. A few days later, Ichikawa returns for a follow-up appointment, but he becomes enraged again. To make matters worse, his anger is directed solely at Maki, and that night, Ichikawa attacks her on her way home...
