The eldest son, Taro, and the second son, Kazuya, return to their parents' home. Taro's wife, Yoshie, and Kazuya's wife, Shizuka, also join them, and the family home becomes lively for the first time in a while. Shizuka, who had consulted Taro about Kazuya's lack of a permanent job, is attracted to Taro. Meanwhile, Kazuya has feelings for Yoshie, who watches over him kindly.
