Haruko struggles to find a job after graduating from university due to the effects of the recession, but through her father's connections she ends up working at a real estate company run by Takada. Takada has been a friend of her parents since their university days, and has often visited Haruko's home since she was a child. Seeing Haruko working with such vigor, like a fish in water, Takada becomes attracted to her, seeing her mother, who was the star of her club when she was young.
